Atmel Faces Dismissal In Fingerprint Patent Case

Law360, New York (May 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Fingerprint security company AuthenTec Inc. on Wednesday refiled its motion to dismiss a patent suit waged against it by semiconductor company Atmel Corp., submitting an unredacted version of its claim that the suit should be dismissed because Atmel didn’t own the patent-in-suit at the time of original filing.
