Experian To Buy Medical Billing Co. For $185M

Law360, New York (June 28, 2011, 12:22 PM EDT) -- Credit reporting and data services company Experian PLC said Tuesday it would buy medical billing management firm Medical Present Value Inc. from several venture capital firms and other investors for $185 million, expanding its reach in the health care industry.

The Dublin-based Experian currently provides services that manage payments from patients to hospitals, in addition to its other credit, data and marketing offerings.
