Adelphia Execs Seek Reconsideration Of Dismissal Bid

Law360, New York (June 29, 2011, 7:35 PM EDT) -- Adelphia Communications Corp. founder John Rigas and his son sought reconsideration Tuesday of a Pennsylvania judge's refusal to dismiss a tax evasion case against them, alleging prosecutorial misconduct in New York made it impossible to defend themselves.

John and Timothy Rigas were sentenced to 12 and 17 years in prison, respectively, after a New York jury found them guilty of securities fraud in July 2004. They were subsequently charged with tax evasion in Pennsylvania, where they are currently challenging a June 14 ruling by U.S. District...
