Duties On Chinese Paper Clips Still Necessary: ITC

Law360, Washington (June 29, 2011, 4:18 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Wednesday ruled that the federal anti-dumping duty order on paper clips from China should continue to stand, saying the domestic U.S. paper clip industry is still threatened by dumped imports.

“Revoking the existing anti-dumping duty order on paper clips from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time,” the ITC said.

The action comes under the ITC's five-year sunset review process as required by the Uruguay Round Agreements Act....
