Bombardier Appeals $574M Honolulu Rail Contract Ruling

Law360, New York (June 30, 2011, 6:09 PM EDT) -- Bombardier Transportation (Holdings) USA Inc. on Wednesday appealed a finding that Honolulu properly awarded a $574 million contract for a rail transit project to Ansaldo Honolulu JV.

Bombardier took its bid protest to the Hawaii Department of Commerce & Consumer Affairs just days after Honolulu's Department of Budget and Fiscal Services upheld the city's decision to hand Ansaldo the contract to manufacture trains and provide the Honolulu Rail Transit system's control center.
