DBSD Wins Tentative OK For Plan To Emerge Under Dish

Law360, New York (June 30, 2011, 2:29 PM EDT) -- Satellite communications firm DBSD North America Inc. won tentative approval from a New York judge on Thursday for its plan to emerge from bankruptcy protection under the ownership of Dish Network Corp.

During a hearing in Manhattan, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert E. Gerber all but signed off on the plan, telling parties that he would first allow them to voice any concerns they may have with language inserted to appease combative creditor Sprint Nextel Corp.
