Judge Throws Out Slew Of Cases Against Pfizer

Law360, New York (May 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- More than a dozen cases in the multidistrict litigation over Pfizer Inc.’s anti-inflammatory pain medications Bextra and Celebrex have recently been tossed by the federal judge overseeing the case.

Since Monday, Judge Charles R. Breyer has approved the dismissal of at least 15 suits against Pfizer in its massive marketing, sales practices and products liability litigation, which is playing out in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
