ExxonMobil Sues Supplier Over Defective Tubing

Law360, New York (June 30, 2011, 7:41 PM EDT) -- ExxonMobil Oil Corp. sued Hudson Products Corp. in Texas state court Thursday alleging the supplier breached its contractual obligations by providing the oil giant with defective fin fan tube bundles installed at a Southern California refinery.

Hudson's supply of eight allegedly defective fin fan tube bundles caused multiple leaks in the hydrotreater unit at Exxon's refinery, forcing the plaintiff to make extensive and costly repairs to continue its refining operations, according to the complaint.
