Shire Sues Sandoz, Amneal Over Vyvanse ANDA

Law360, New York (July 1, 2011, 7:46 PM EDT) -- Shire PLC sued Sandoz Inc. and Amneal Pharmaceuticals LLC in New Jersey federal court Friday over their efforts to make generic versions of ADHD treatment Vyvanse.

The global pharmaceutical company accuses the generic-drug makers in separate suits of infringing the 16 patents covering Vyvanse by filing an abbreviated new drug application with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for their own version of the drug.
