Reality Star Settles Trademark 'Situation' With Dad

Law360, Los Angeles (July 1, 2011, 8:35 PM EDT) -- Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino, star of TV show "Jersey Shore," settled a lawsuit Friday in Florida that accused his estranged father of infringing his trademarked nickname and using a website to unfairly promote a tell-all book about his son.

The settlement bars Frank Sorrentino, who calls himself “The Confrontation," and his business partner Robert M. Fletcher from using the younger Sorrentino's nickname, image or likeness for advertisement or sales.
