Senate Confirms Cohen As Treasury Anti-Terrorism Chief

Law360, New York (July 1, 2011, 6:14 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate on Friday confirmed former WilmerHale partner David S. Cohen as the U.S. Department of the Treasury's under secretary for terrorism and financial intelligence, more than five months after he was nominated for the post by President Barack Obama.

Cohen, who has been serving as acting undersecretary, will be responsible for disrupting the flow of money to terrorist organizations and drug traffickers, and for fighting money laundering and other financial crimes, Treasury said.
