Judge Chastises Attorney In Trade Secrets Case

Law360, New York (May 25, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge chastised a Dorsey & Whitney LLP attorney on Wednesday for allegedly violating a protective order that prohibits the use of “attorneys’ eyes only” depositions in other courts.

In a 19-page opinion, Judge Harold Baer Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York sharply criticized Kristan Peters of Dorsey & Whitney for using confidential depositions from a trade secrets case in New York to help file a similar case in Massachusetts.
