Wilson Elser Settles Ex-Employee's Bias Suit

Law360, New York (July 5, 2011, 3:44 PM EDT) -- Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP on Friday settled a discrimination lawsuit in New York federal court by a Guyanese legal records clerk who claimed she was fired because she complained about bias.

The parties “have reached a resolution of this action,” U.S. District Judge Shira Scheindlin said in an order that suspends the case for 45 days while the firm and the ex-clerk, Sandra Baichu, work out a final deal. The case can be resumed if a final settlement is not reached, the judge...
