Judge Won't Reconsider Ruling In Taiwan Car Parts Suit

Law360, New York (July 7, 2011, 8:14 PM EDT) -- A Wisconsin federal judge refused Wednesday to reconsider his ruling that U.S. auto parts distributors could bring a proposed price-fixing class action against Taiwanese manufacturers under the Sherman Act even if the parts were purchased outside the U.S.

U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman stood by his denial of the manufacturers' motion to dismiss the suit for lack of jurisdiction, saying that just because the defendants sold the parts in Taiwan did not mean their prices did not affect American commerce.
