Nokia Forced To Arbitrate Price-Fixing Claims V. AUO

Law360, New York (July 7, 2011, 3:36 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday granted AU Optronics Corp.'s motion to compel arbitration in a Nokia Corp. price-fixing suit against the liquid crystal display panel maker, citing a purchase agreement between the parties.

U.S. District Judge Susan Illston held that Nokia and AUO were bound by a 2005 product purchase agreement that included a clause stating that any disputes related to the agreement must be resolved through arbitration.
