Google's Schmidt To Testify At Senate Antitrust Hearing

Law360, Los Angeles (July 8, 2011, 7:39 PM EDT) -- Google Inc. has reversed course and agreed to send Chairman Eric Schmidt to testify before a Senate antitrust panel at an upcoming hearing, the technology giant confirmed Friday.

“We look forward to Eric Schmidt’s participation at our antitrust subcommittee hearing in September,” said Sen. Herb Kohl, D-Wis., who chairs the Senate subcommittee on antitrust, competition policy and consumer rights. “This will allow us to have a truly informational and thorough public hearing.”
