Embattled TXU Dodges Clean Air Act Suit

Law360 (May 29, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has granted TXU Corp.'s motion to dismiss a complaint brought against it under the Clean Air Act, giving the company a victory among troubles arising from its proposed $44 billion buyout.

The plaintiffs in the case, two environmental groups, on Thursday appealed the dismissal, which was handed down on May 21, to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
