Survey Shows Online Music Downloading Decreasing

Law360, New York (November 5, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- More than a million U.S. households deleted all the digital music files they had saved on their personal computers in August, according to a survey released by market reseacher the NPD Group on Wednesday.

The number of households that deleted all their music downloads increased to 1.4 million in August from 606,000 in May of this year. Eighty percent of the consumers who deleted files had fewer than 50 files saved; just 10% had more than 200 files, NDP said.
