Biotronik Says CoStar Stent 'Recall' Violated Pact

Law360, New York (July 12, 2011, 6:19 PM EDT) -- Biotronik AG told a New York state judge Tuesday that Conor Medsystems Inc. reneged on a supply contract when it stopped providing CoStar stents to the German biopharmaceutical company and then painted the breach as a recall.

Conor — a Johnson & Johnson unit — pulled its CoStar stents off the market in 2007, a move that allegedly cost Biotronik over $100 million, according to court documents.
