Workers Slam Lyondell's Bid To Toss $10M Race Claims

Law360, Los Angeles (July 15, 2011, 6:31 PM EDT) -- Two former employees of a Lyondell Chemical Co. affiliate fighting to preserve a $10 million race discrimination suit accused the company Thursday of trying to mislead a New York bankruptcy judge about their efforts.

The workers, Frederick Royster and Scott Miller, lodged a scathing reply to a debtor filing concerning the claims, saying that the company's alleged misrepresentations warranted sanctions.

“Bluntly put, debtors’ reply is replete with misleading information, misquoted case law and allegations meant only to be inflammatory with no probative value,” the workers said....
