Adobe, EchoSign Sued Over Email Verification Patent

Law360, New York (July 19, 2011, 7:46 PM EDT) -- Adobe Systems Inc. and its newly acquired electronic signature company EchoSign Inc. were sued Tuesday in Texas federal court for allegedly infringing five patents related to technology that verifies email transmissions.

RPost Holdings Inc. claims that EchoSign has infringed the five patents by offering products that authenticate that a sender has electronically transmitted information to a recipient. Adobe announced the acquisition of EchoSign on Monday.
