Data Co., Hertz Resolve Data-Storage Patent Dispute

Law360 (May 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A district judge has granted a request by a data storage company and Hertz Corp. to dismiss claims against each other in a patent dispute over methods for accessing information from a data storage system.

Although SpeedTrack Inc.’s case will continue against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and two other defendants, Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton ordered the dismissal of SpeedTrack’s claims against the car and equipment rental company, as well as Hertz’s counterclaims against SpeedTrack in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Thursday....
