Restaurants Face Off In Court In Dispute Over "Hooters" Image

Law360 (November 18, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- In one of the more surreal intellectual-property disputes to reach trial in recent years, Hooters of America is trying to persuade a federal jury in Florida that rival “breastaurant” chain Ker's WingHouse of Kissimmee ripped off its “Hooter girl” image.

U.S. District Judge Anne C. Conway of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida in Orlando heard opening arguments in the case on Wednesday.
