9th Circ. Partially Lifts Block On Co.'s Defect Probes

Law360, Washington (July 20, 2011, 8:18 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Wednesday partially reversed a lower court's injunction in an unfair competition suit preventing an unlicensed construction company from inspecting a retirement community for construction defects, saying the court could not rely on Nevada's common law of champerty as the basis for obtaining relief.
