Undocumented Worker Claims Sent To Federal Court

Law360, New York (June 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- About 100 undocumented workers who allegedly had their one chance at legal status ruined by a Texas fast food eatery and its former law firm will be forced to fight their case at the federal level, a judge ruled Wednesday.

Judge Sidney Fitzwater of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas rejected the plaintiffs' motion to remand the consolidated cases to state court. Though other similar actions remain at the state level, all the cases will most likely be moved to one court,...
