Ex-La. Lawmaker Found Guilty Of Racketeering

Law360, New York (July 25, 2011, 9:47 PM EDT) -- A federal jury on Monday reportedly found a former Louisiana lawmaker guilty of one count of racketeering in connection with political operative Mose Jefferson's alleged misuse of more than $1 million in federal and state grant money.

Renee Gill Pratt, 56, could face up to 20 years in prison when she is sentenced in October, according to the Associated Press.
