Chartis Sued For Coverage Of Junk Fax Action

Law360, New York (July 26, 2011, 3:10 PM EDT) -- Interline Brands Inc. sued Chartis Specialty Insurance Co. in Florida on Monday, arguing the insurer must defend it against a proposed class action claiming Interline violated consumer protection laws through a "junk fax" advertising campaign.

Chartis predecessor American International Specialty Lines Insurance Co. issued a series of liability policies to Interline, a distributor of maintenance and repair products, covering periods from November 2006 through November 2011.
