9th Circ. Lets Enviros Intervene In Snowmobile Suit

Law360, New York (July 27, 2011, 2:57 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Tuesday reversed an order blocking three conservation groups from intervening in a suit challenging the U.S. Forest Service's restrictions on the use of snowmobiles and tracked all-terrain vehicles in a 155,000-acre section of Montana's Gallatin National Forest.

Citizens for Balanced Use launched the suit against the Forest Service, hoping to overturn an interim order limiting the use of snowmobiles and other over-snow vehicles in a study area within the forest.
