Law360, New York (July 27, 2011, 3:33 PM EDT) -- Last month, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration made a splash by issuing long-awaited rules that significantly change the way that sunscreen products will labeled. On the same day, the FDA issued an Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (“ANPRM”)[1] related to spray sunscreens that received almost no attention, but is potentially very significant, because it could lead to the first mandatory warning for a mass consumer product containing nanomaterials.
