Groups Call For Overhaul Of Cell Tower Safety Regs

Law360, New York (July 27, 2011, 12:43 PM EDT) -- Public health advocacy groups on Tuesday urged citizens to petition Congress for new cellular tower safety regulations, arguing that current regulations are “obsolete,” and fail to protect human health and the environment.

Citizens for Health, the American Academy of Environmental Medicine and, which focuses on the health effects of electromagnetic radiation, hope to bring pressure on the Federal Communications Commission to revise the regulations based on current science.
