ITC Maintains Duties On Chinese Hand Tools

Law360, New York (July 27, 2011, 5:40 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission determined Wednesday that existing anti-dumping duties on heavy forged hand tools from China should be left in place, finding that revoking the existing tariffs would likely harm U.S. industry.

The determination follows a similar ruling in May from the U.S. Department of Commerce on its own sunset review of the duties. Commerce found that pulling back the duties would likely cause the products to be sold in the U.S. at less than fair value.
