Patton Boggs, Others Hit Over 'Frivolous' Securities Suit

Law360, New York (July 29, 2011, 3:56 PM EDT) -- Corporate Valuation Advisors Inc. filed a $3 million suit in California on Tuesday claiming Patton Boggs LLP and two other law firms helped clients file malicious racketeering and securities claims against the company over an intellectual property valuation.

The state court complaint claims attorneys at the law firms — which also include Alston & Bird LLP and Cummins & White LLP — filed an improper federal suit against CVA on behalf of their clients, fellow defendants David Warnock and Simon Davies.
