Ex-Loan Officer Hits SunTrust With OT Class Action

Law360, New York (August 1, 2011, 6:37 PM EDT) -- SunTrust Mortgage Inc. was hit with a proposed class action Thursday in Florida by a former loan officer who says he and other SunTrust employees were forced to work long hours without overtime pay.

Former mortgage loan officer Michael Childs claims that SunTrust improperly classified its loan reps as exempt from overtime pay, violating the Fair Labor Standards Act and Florida state labor law.
