Ace Wants Dismissal Of UK Stroller Co. Coverage Suit

Law360, New York (July 29, 2011, 7:28 PM EDT) -- Ace American Insurance Co. on Thursday asked a New York federal court to dismiss an English stroller manufacturer's lawsuit seeking coverage for product liability claims under a $2 million policy the insurer contends was properly canceled.

The insurer claims its policy with Maclaren Europe Ltd. was terminated in full compliance with the agreement's provisions and appropriately under English law, which it says should apply in the case. The policy provided coverage for occurrences and claims outside of the U.S.
