Leading IP Attorney Joins Cooley In NY

Law360, New York (August 4, 2011, 3:52 PM EDT) -- Cooley LLP announced Tuesday it had lured a Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC partner to expand its intellectual property practice in New York.

Matthew E. Langer joined the firm’s practice Monday after a four-year run with Wilson Sonsini, where he specialized in patent law in a range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, chemical synthesis, biotechnology and clean technology.

Langer, who earned a doctorate in organic chemistry from Yale University, said he made the switch, in part, due to Cooley’s extensive work in the life sciences practice....
