Law360, New York (August 15, 2011, 1:55 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, in Murphy v. Millennium Radio Group LLC, No. 10-2163, 2011 (3d Cir. June 14, 2011) (Fuentes, J.), recently held that 17 U.S.C. Section 1202’s prohibition against tampering with or falsifying “copyright management information” (“CMI”) is broad enough to encompass removing a photographer’s name from a magazine page before digitizing an image.
