Koch Foods, Plant Workers Settle Wage-And-Hour Action

Law360, Los Angeles (August 4, 2011, 9:20 PM EDT) -- Attorneys for poultry processor Koch Foods of Cincinnati LLC and hourly workers at its Fairfield, Ohio, chicken processing plant told a federal judge Wednesday they had reached a settlement in the workers’ wage-and-hour class action.

“Because the parties have reach[ed] a tentative settlement agreement of this matter, subject to this court’s approval ... the parties jointly request that this court stay all current deadlines in this matter,” the attorneys wrote to U.S. District Judge Michael R. Barrett in Wednesday’s motion to stay proceedings.
