Stanford Receiver Sues Texas A&M For $4.4M

Law360, New York (August 4, 2011, 2:55 PM EDT) -- The receiver tasked with recovering money for the victims of financier Robert Allen Stanford’s alleged $7 billion Ponzi scheme filed suit Wednesday seeking to recover at least $4.4 million paid to Texas A&M University.

Receiver Ralph S. Janvey alleges the university received the money as proceeds from certificates of deposits, the primary tool in Stanford's massive alleged fraud. Janvey says he is still investigating and might increase his recovery demand should he find additional payments made to the university.
