Ex Holland & Knight Lawyer Drops RICO Claim

Law360, New York (June 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An attorney who sued Holland & Knight after he was fired from the Florida law firm has dropped his claim that the practice misappropriated $5 million in attorneys' fees.

Accusations of racketeering were tossed from the complaint by U.S. Magistrate Judge Andrew Peck in an order issued Tuesday, after the parties advised the Manhattan district court of their consent to dismiss the claim.
