DOC Says Japan, Romania Pipe Duties Still Needed

Law360, New York (August 5, 2011, 3:36 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce on Friday released the final results of anti-dumping duty reviews for carbon and alloy pipe imported from Japan and Romania, finding that revoking the tariffs would allow companies to import the pipe at unfairly low prices.

In a notice published Friday in the Federal Register, the DOC said stripping out the existing anti-dumping duties on large-diameter pipe from Japan and small-diameter pipe from both Japan and Romania would effectively allow producers to unfairly target the U.S. market with cheap pipe products....
