Actors, Advertisers Prep For Clash Over Internet Pay

Law360, New York (September 2, 2011, 12:15 PM EDT) -- A fight is brewing between unionized actors and the advertisers that employ them over compensation for appearances in the growing world of new media and mobile advertising, experts say.

The advertisers, represented by the Association of National Advertisers and the American Association of Advertising Agencies, and the actors, represented by the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, averted discussions on the issue this time around by extending the current collective bargaining agreement for another year.
