Novartis Bone Drug Suit Grows

Law360, New York (June 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Novartis Pharmaceutical Corp.'s litigation woes have worsened, with 11 new product liability suits added this week to the multidistrict case over the drug maker's bone cancer medications.

The cases were transferred Wednesday from New York to Tennessee, where more than 230 suits have now been consolidated.

The case was centralized in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee in April 2006, when a federal judicial panel ruled that the 30 lawsuits that had been filed across the country at that time should be...
