Japanese Co. Seeks End Of US Ball Bearing Duties

Law360, New York (August 8, 2011, 6:43 PM EDT) -- Japanese ball bearing maker NTN Corp. on Monday become the latest to sue the federal government in the U.S. Court of International Trade, attempting to secure a final revocation of duties on Japanese ball bearings in accordance with recent court rulings.

NTN claims the U.S. Department of Commerce has not actually revoked the duty order as required by law, but has effectively left it in place pending appeal, despite rulings that ending the duties would not lead to a recurrence of material injury.
