Verizon Sues To Curb Union Strike Tactics

Law360, Wilmington (August 9, 2011, 4:05 PM EDT) -- Verizon Communications asked a Delaware state court on Tuesday to rein in disruptive — and purportedly illegal — methods used by striking workers from two unions at its facilities in the state after winning a similar injunction in Pennsylvania.

Forty-five thousand Verizon employees in the Communications Workers of America and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers took to picket lines on Sunday ranging from Massachusetts to Virginia after negotiations on a new contract collapsed.
