Consumers Sue Hallmark, Crayola Over Bubble Stains

Law360, New York (August 10, 2011, 12:24 PM EDT) -- Consumers hit Hallmark Cards Inc. and subsidiary Crayola LLC with a putative class action in Washington state on Friday, saying the companies' deceptively marketed Washable Colored Bubbles were not washable and left long-lasting stains.

The purchasers of the Crayola-brand bubbles and related child products said in the complaint that the bubbles “stain everything they touch,” and that the stains can sometimes be removed with considerable time and expense, and sometimes not.
