Dr Pepper Bottler Fires Back In Trademark Dispute

Law360, New York (August 10, 2011, 5:28 PM EDT) -- A Texas soda bottler on Wednesday fired back at Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc., noting that despite filing a federal trademark infringement lawsuit against it, the soda giant and its executives have praised the very products at issue.

The Dr Pepper Bottling Co. of Dublin, Texas, stands accused by its licensor of improperly using the Dr Pepper name on its own Dublin Dr Pepper products, which are made with cane sugar instead of the high fructose corn syrup found in most Dr Pepper sodas.
