Tubemaker Sued Over Faulty Fridge Parts For Samsung, LG

Law360, New York (August 11, 2011, 7:53 PM EDT) -- Stainless steel tubemaker Oakley Industries Co. LLC was hit with a breach of contract suit Wednesday in Illinois for allegedly manufacturing and selling defective tubes that caused refrigerator parts destined for Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and LG Electronics Inc. to malfunction.

South Korea-based tube supplier BeeBon International Co. Inc. alleges that the tubes contained pinholes and cracks that later led to failures in refrigerator heating components manufactured by BeeBon's two main customers, Hankyung Electronics Inc. and Canaan Electronics Inc., which supply parts to Samsung and LG....
