GE Settles With 2 Families In Chopper Crash Suit

Law360, New York (August 11, 2011, 7:33 PM EDT) -- General Electric Corp. on Tuesday agreed to settle with the relatives of two firefighters killed in a 2008 helicopter crash, resolving the families' claims in multidistrict litigation in Oregon federal court alleging defects in GE's engines.

In two separate orders, Judge Michael Mosnan signed off on the settlements between GE and the families of Steven N. Renno and Scott Charlson in the MDL, which was brought by family members of the nine firefighters killed in the California helicopter crash.
