AG Group Urges EPA To Close Clean Air Loophole

Law360, New York (June 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A slew of attorneys general have urged the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to close a loophole that would enable older factories to escape tougher anti-pollution controls, arguing that the move could dilute the power of the federal Clean Air Act.

On Thursday, the group, led by New Mexico Attorney General Gary King, protested the possible exemption for coal-burning facilities and other plants from a provision to the Act known as the New Source Review.
