Rite Aid Sued Over Alleged Union Suppression

Law360 (June 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Drug store company Rite Aid Corp. was hit with a lawsuit Wednesday by a health care workers union that alleges Rite Aid is trying to suppress the union as part of its planned acquisition of the Brooks and Eckert drug store chains.

The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, seeks a preliminary injunction against Rite Aid to stop the alleged anti-union campaign, and seeks to compel Rite Aid into arbitration with the union.
